Xbox has announced that it’ll once more hold a joint Xbox and Bethesda Showcase this summer, on June 12.
Similar to last year, the show will feature a bunch of titles coming from both Xbox and Bethesda studios over the next year and beyond. It’ll also include announcements relating to games coming to Xbox Game Pass on both console and PC. You’ll be able to tune in via most of Xbox’s social channels, including YouTube, Twitch, Twitter and Facebook. The show will also be broadcast in ASL and Audio Description formats too.
Last year’s show gave us a release date for Starfield, which will be arriving on November 11 this year. It’s almost certainly a lock it’ll be a big focus for the show. We also got the surprise announcement of Forza Horizon 5 set in Mexico, which launched just a few months later. And of course, Halo Infinite was a big presence at last year’s show.
However, we also got a look at some games we’ve not seen much of since. For example, vampire co-op shooter Redfall and Avalanche Studios’ heist game Contraband. Hopefully we’ll get updates on those two, along with whatever new things might be up both publishers sleeves.
We probably won’t get much in the way of Activision news just yet, however. Despite Microsoft making big waves by purchasing them for $68.7 billion USD earlier this year, the deal is still currently ongoing so we’d hazard it’ll be a bit premature to expect any announcements from that partnership just yet.
We’ll have to wait and see. The 2022 edition of the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase will kick off at 6pm UK time on Sunday, June 12.
