Wuthering Waves fans have recently been treated to the release of Changli, much to the delight of everyone, and soon we will get Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao in update 1.2. While we still have a month to wait until the arrival of 1.2, fans are always looking ahead to the future. Nothing is official right now, but leaks have teased the Wuthering Waves 1.3 banner characters.
There is a lot happening in the world of WuWa. The recent PS5 announcement has come with bad news, but the yang to the negative yin is that it is coming to PlayStation at all. In addition, some huge 1.2 leaks have been shared online with fans praising Kuro for listening to the community, meanwhile, another leak suggests a big upgrade is on the way that Genshin Impact fans have wanted for years.
Similar to its gacha brethren, there are a boatloads of Wuthering Waves leaks surfacing online. None of it is official until Kuro makes an announcement, but recent leaks suggest we are getting more female banner characters in update 1.3.
The official banner characters for Wuthering Waves update 1.2 are Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao as confirmed by Kuro. We still have a few weeks to wait until the release of Zhezhi, and leaks have shown off their “beautiful” animations and skills.
As for update 1.3, nothing is confirmed yet, but a leak suggests we are getting two new female banner characters. This comes courtesy of WutheringWavesLegacy on Twitter citing UncleBirdieWindow.
This isn’t official and the leak doesn’t reveal who the playable female characters could be. While still not official, Wuthering Wives on Twitter has said there is “some potentials” for Chun/Camellya to be playable in update 1.3.
The above is treated as “questionable” by the leaker, but hopefully it happens as Camellya is a character fans are anticipating.
As for who the other female character could be, WutheringWorld namedropped a character codenamed “Coastguard,” explicitly saying she will be playable in 1.3. This again cites UncleBirdieWindow as the source, but there is some doubt to this leak.
Reacting to the possible new 1.3 character on Reddit, one of the top comments says, “The model is real. It’s in the files for a long time now, Stormy Waves leaked it back in September last year. But there is nothing new, still just the model”. In laymen terms, this comment means the character and model is real, but there’s nothing to suggest it is coming out in 1.3.
Again, neither this “Coastguard” character or Camellya are official for 1.3, nor is it official we are getting two females. All that is official right now is that we are getting Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao in 1.2.
