There are plenty of great horror games to enjoy this Halloween. However, one of the most unique and terrifying is an indie gem that has only just left early access for PC. It is coming to console, but the World of Horror PS5 and Nintendo Switch release date has been slightly delayed.

In the more immediate time, you can enjoy the Epic Games store Halloween 2023 sale right now. It offers heavy discounts for a bunch of great horror games, as well as titles not related to the genre at all. Then there’s the annual Steam Halloween sale 2023 coming just in time for All Hallows Eve. This will similarly offer dozens of unbelievable discounts, but hopefully for an array of different titles.

Again, there is no shortage of AAA horror juggernauts to enjoy on trick-or-treat night, but World of Horror is an indie gem begging for your attention.

Is World of Horror on PS5 and Nintendo Switch?

World of Horror is coming to PS5 and Nintendo Switch. However, the original release date for PlayStation and Nintendo’s console has been slightly delayed. If able to, you can enjoy the full game right now over on Steam. Right now there is a 25% discount until November 2nd, meaning it costs £12.56 instead of the total fee, £16.75.

Provided you’re able to, Steam is an easy way to play as its system requirements are very bare. It’s no gargantuan AAA game as it’s a 1-bit black and white turn-based RPG using visuals straight out of a manga. It’s inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft and Junji Ito, and it’s visually very familiar to the famous horror manga, Spiral.

World of Horror PS5 and Nintendo Switch release date

The new release date for World of Horror on PS5 and Nintendo Switch is October 26th. It was originally intended to be released for these platforms on October 19th, but the launch has been slightly pushed back. No explanation has been provided as to why, all Ysbyrd Games said is they need a few more days.

No price has been shared for either PlayStation or Switch, but it’ll likely cost the same as on Steam. It will be a fantastic game to enjoy this Halloween, and it will be cheap, too. Early access reviews on Steam were very positive with fans praising the visuals and gameplay, as well as the unique horror experience it provides. It is like reading a manga, and there are very few, if any, experiences like it in the world of video games.

In other Halloween news, leakers have possibly revealed the release date for Jack Skellington in Fortnite.
