It’s the spooky season of the year, meaning lots of horror games will soon be available at favourable discounts. The Steam Halloween Sale 2023 start date and time are very nearly here, and the next sale after All Hallows Eve is Autumn, and then the big Christmas offerings.
There are plenty of amazing horror games to enjoy this Halloween. The Dead Space Remake is now on Xbox Game Pass through EA Play, and the long-awaited Alan Wake 2 is finally coming out on October 27th. If you are on PC, remember that the Alan Wake sequel is exclusive to Epic Games, so will not be available on Valve’s storefront.
Although the lack of Remedy’s sequel is disappointing, Steam users still have plenty of treats to enjoy with the Halloween sale of 2023.
Steam Halloween sale 2023 start date
The start date for the Steam Halloween Sale 2023 is October 26th. This comes courtesy of SteamDB, which also reveals the event will end on November 2nd. As per tradition, the celebration of Hallows Eve will provide heavy discounts for several horror games as well as titles not related to the horror genre.
Sticking to the world of PC, the Epic Games store Halloween sale is available right now. Not only that, but the final Epic Games store October 2023 free game is the wildly underappreciated horror sequel The Evil Within 2. This is available for all PC users to freely claim until November 2nd.

The start time for the Steam Halloween Sale 2023 was 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET/ 6 PM BST on October 26th. Valve has dubbed this year’s sale Scream Revenge. The Scream page is finally filled to the brim with spine-chilling discounts now that the launch window has passed. When is the next Steam sale?
The next Steam sale after Halloween is the Autumn discounts from November 21st to November 28th. After that, the year is then capped off with the annual Winter discounts currently scheduled for December 21st to January 4th.
Away from October, the month of Christmas is always the most exciting for Steam users. Not only is there the annual Winter sale, but it also lets Steam users vote for their best games of the year in several categories spanning from Game of the Year to Outstanding Story and Best Game on the Go.
