Call of Duty Warzone 2 has provided a refreshing new experience of battle royale game play since its launch. And a big reason why, has been due to the new hit map, Al Mazrah. But as fans continue to explore the depths of Warzone 2, a variety of different questions have risen in the process. And one of them has been whether the game mode ‘Plunder’ will return to Warzone 2?

For those of you that don’t know, Plunder is an alternative game mode that came with Warzone 1, offering a nice change of pace to the intense battle royale gameplay. The goal in Plunder is to gather a certain amount of cash over the course of the game, and whoever has the most cash by the time the game concludes, wins. To achieve this goal, players have to loot crates, complete contracts, and take out enemies.

What’s neat about Plunder is that you respawn after you die – so there is no gulag and you drop back into the game with your loadout. But will Warzone 2 be home to this fun game mode? Here is what we know so far.

The answer is yes! As of today, April 26, Plunder has arrived in Call of Duty Warzone 2. This is massive news, as fans have been clamoring and asking about Plunder’s return, and Activision has finally delivered. At the time of this writing, there’s only a quads Plunder mode available in the Warzone 2 menu. That said, it’s certainly better than having no Plunder at all.

Prior to its release, Call of Duty hinted a while back that they would have what was described as, ‘plunder-like skirmishes‘. At the time, this vague message didn’t mean a whole lot, and certainly didn’t confirm whether the game mode would be back. However, Plunder has made a return, and is now live in the Warzone 2 menu.
