The Callisto Protocol, Striking Distance Studios and Krafton’s horror creation, has had a less-than-stellar initial launch. This terrifying entry, inspired by popular genre title Dead Space, has been plagued with performance issues according to numerous players. Now that the developers have announced fresh content arriving in the coming months, players are now also asking whether the game will be getting new game plus. Here’s what we know about this feature’s potential inclusion.

The Callisto Protocol now has New Game Plus available after it was added on January 19, 2023 in a free update. According to an announcement, the devs have also addressed the bug involving the Maximum Security Achievement/Trophy.

It seems like Krafton and Striking Distance Studios decided to release the new feature early. Based on a previous post, the introduction of new game plus to The Callisto Protocol was initially slated for a February launch.

If the rest of the dates are to be followed, however, users can also expect bonus content to be added to the game’s Season Pass. This includes an Outer Way Skin Collection that will arrive on February 7, 2023. Additionally, there will be a Contagion and Riot Bundle included in Spring 2023. Last but not least, extra story content will be introduced in Summer 2023.

Though many in the community were initially excited to start playing this latest horror entry, a majority became immediately disappointed due to the numerous problems currently plaguing the game. PC users in particular are experiencing the bulk of these flaws as evidenced by the scathing reviews left on the game’s Steam page.

The player base will be pleased to know, however, that these issues are being addressed based on their latest patch.
