It’s been a fantastic year for video games so far and it’s getting better very soon with the imminent releases of Metal Gear Solid Delta plus Gears of War Reloaded on PS5 in exchange for Helldivers 2 on Xbox. There are a lot more fantastic games set to come out this year and next, and some of them will be shown off at Gamescom 2025. Here you will find the release date and time countdown for when Gamescom ONL 2025 will start along with how to watch, and everything confirmed for the Opening Night Live.

What time does Gamescom ONL 2025 start?

The start time for Gamescom ONL 2025 is 11AM PT/2PM ET/7PM BST on August 19th. While this is when the Opening Night Live officially starts, you can check in for the pre-show half-an-hour earlier.

As per usual, the event will be hosted by Geoff Keighley. There will be a bombardment of trailers for upcoming releases for the remainder of 2025 and then 2026, and, most excitingly, there will also be grand reveals.

Countdown

How to watch

You will be able to watch the event live on either YouTube or Twitch. It’s likely some of your favourite streamers will be watching the event, too, so you can watch the trailers and reveals unravel with them and hear their commentary.

The event should be roughly two-hours long. In addition to just trailers and reveals, there will also be a musical performance for Clair Obscur Expedition 33. This is exciting as the OST is a major part of the game’s outstanding success.

Everything confirmed for Gamescom ONL 2025

Below are all the games confirmed for an appearance at Gamescom ONL 2025:

  • Call of Duty Black Ops 7
  • Black Myth Wukong
  • Resident Evil Requiem
  • Ghost of Yotei
  • Ninja Gaiden 4
  • Silent Hill F
  • Outer Worlds 2
  • World of Warcraft Midnight
  • Lords of the Fallen 2
  • Honor of Kings World
  • EA Sports FC 26

In addition to the above games, there will also be the appearance of Fallout Season 2. While fans may pray and hope for a new Fallout game, there are reports of a Fallout 3 Remaster following in the footsteps of Oblivion, but it is also said to not be coming anytime soon.

Resident Evil Requiem is exciting. It was announced at Summer Game Fest with newcomer Grace, and there are continuing leaks that Leon will be a second playable character. Actors for other RE characters have teased more than just NPC appearances, too.

For lovers of horror, there will also be a showcase of Silent Hill F. The game is set to come out in September, and the developer has previously said they want it to return the series to its J-horror roots.

Black Myth Wukong is slated to make an appearance, too. The developer hasn’t fully revealed their plans, but they have seemingly teased new bosses as part of DLC.

As for the biggest game set to make an appearance, the worldwide reveal of Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is massively anticipated. Call of Duty is the biggest game every year, and we look forward to the showcase from Activision.

Of course, this is not all the games that will be showcased. Unannounced titles will be revealed, and other previously announced games will make long-awaited announcements. Here’s praying for Hollow Knight Silksong release date.
