Valorant has had a fantastic year so far. Episode 8 was brilliant and Summer Game Fest was huge with the announcement of a console release. Riot Games’ shooter has been available in closed beta format with the promise of a full launch sometime this year. Nothing is official yet, but a leak suggests the Valorant release date for PS5 and Xbox consoles is surprisingly imminent.
Right now we are currently in the stages of Episode 9 Act 1. Riot has begun teasing a new agent, and a recent teaser suggests the agent can “control the sands of time“. In addition, another leak shows a new match mode that could possibly arrive in the game sometime in the future.
While we cannot wait for a full reveal and launch of the new agent of Episode 9, we’re even more eager for the full launch of Valorant on console. The PS5 and Xbox release date has not been announced, but it has possibly been leaked.

Leaked Valorant PS5 and Xbox console release date
The leaked release date for Valorant on PS5 and Xbox consoles is July 26th. This comes courtesy of eXtas1s on Twitter.
They are an often reliable and accurate source for leaks. Alongside this leak for Valorant, they also claim Modern Warfare 3 is coming to Xbox Game Pass on July 24th. This hasn’t been confirmed either, but Modern Warfare 3 coming to Game Pass tomorrow has been “corroborated” by reliable leaker, Tom Henderson, on Insider Gaming.
Again, it is not confirmed that Riot Games’ multiplayer shooter is fully launching for consoles on July 26th. As of July 23rd, no announcement has been made by Riot, so this leaked release date is not official.
If you’ve been able to participate in the closed beta on console, all of your progress will carry over to the full release. This includes any “progress on the Battlepass, Agents you recruit, or skins you purchase” as per the beta FAQ.
We will have to wait and see if the game does land on PS5 and Xbox this week. Assuming the leak is accurate, an announcement in advance is to be expected. You can follow Valorant on Twitter to stay up-to-date with the hit multiplayer shooter.
