It’s been an amazing year so far for the Valorant community. The game has been brought to consoles for the first time ever, and in Episode 8 we were treated to a new map. In Episode 8, we were also treated to a new agent, Clove. The next chapter has now officially begun, and Riot has begun teasing a new Valorant agent for later in Episode 9.

While there are a lot of great weapons and skins for the beginning of Episode 9, it’s the new agents fans often anticipate the most. Riot has begun teasing a new Valorant agent for Episode 9, and there is a lot shrouded in mystery.

Riot has teased the new Valorant agent in the Episode 9 Act 1 trailer. This trailer includes a brief cinematic snippet where we see spikey roots weaving out from beneath cracks in the ground.

In addition, there was also a tease at the end of the Abyss map trailer. This teaser shows a claw inside some sort of pod. The claw is completely static until it moves, indicating the new agent has awoken.

Following the release of Episode 9 Act 1, more teasers have been uncovered. ValorantLeaksEN has shared playercard teasers for the new agent called “In Bloom” with the codename, “SilverThumb”.

There is also the teaser of an hour glass getting wrapped up in vines, continuing the theme from the end of the Episode 9 Act 1 trailer. This is possibly representative of their abilities.

Unfortunately, this is all that has been revealed so far. In April, ValorantLeaksEN did leak the codename for a new agent called Sherry, but it wasn’t clear if this is for Agent 26 or someone later down the road.
