The latest round of Valorant patch notes has disappointed some fans as one of the new features that’s being introduced is another form of in-game currency called Kingdom Credits. This new monetary type adds another method of acquiring new agents, skins, and accessories, but the meager amount that you can get each time means you’ll end up having to grind it out for a few weeks just to purchase an item.

In addition, the only way you can obtain KC is by playing through matches and advancing through each Checkpoint Track of the new daily rewards system. This means that even with the Team Deathmatch release date practically here, you’ll still have to participate in tons of these fast-paced games in order to earn the number you need to unlock the new agent named Deadlock.

Since players have often despised the grind that comes with any microtransaction-filled game, Valorant fans have now taken to social media sites to vent out their frustrations on the new system. One user commenting under a particular Reddit post said that “the fact you only get 20-30 per game without [daily rewards] is awful. They need to make it 50-150 or something.”

Another player responding to a video by YouTuber Dittozkul, on the other hand, said they “didn’t expect this change to be good in any way,” but they “still ended up disappointed.” “The amount you get is underwhelming and the cap is there to prevent you from stocking up so you have to keep coming back and grind,” they continued.

Unfortunately, with the new currency only having been introduced, it doesn’t seem like Riot Games is going to be changing how it works any time soon. But with the player base’s reaction largely being negative so far, it may only be a matter of time until the developers provide an update that’ll make the Kingdom Credits grind less exhausting.
