Chart Track reports that EA’s The Sims 3 has held on for a second week at the top of the All Formats All Prices video game chart, despite a 48 per cent falloff in sales over its first week.

The week’s highest new entry is Activision’s Prototype at No.2. In the individual formats chart, Prototype on Xbox 360 charted at No.2, while the PS3 version debuted at No.6. THQ’s Red Faction: Guerrilla fell one place to No.3 (-31 per cent), Wii Fit climbed to No.4 (+18 per cent) and UFC 2009 Undisputed dropped two places to No.5 (-36 per cent).

EA Sports Active is down two places to No.6 (-28 per cent), while CoD World at War is a big mover, up nine places to No.7 (+79 per cent).

Wii MotionPlus also saw its debut game hit the charts, with EA’s Grand Slam Tennis new at No.13. With the Wimbledon hype yet to kick in, expect EA’s title to show strong legs over the summer. LucasArts’ Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings was also a new entry at No.32.

Next week look out for new entries from Ghostbusters, ArmA II and Virtua Tennis 2009 on Wii.
