Chapter 5 Season 2 end date

  • Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 will end on May 24 2024
  • The Myths and Mortals event will end in preparation for the new Season
  • The v29.40 update arrives a couple of weeks beforehand with a Star Wars crossover

All good things must come to an end and the current Fortnite Season is no exception. Chapter 5 Season 2 started back at the beginning of March, and it brought along a huge amount of content with a new Battle Pass and the Elements Pass, arriving alongside a crossover with Avatar The Last Airbender.

But with the end of the Season fast approaching, players are either rushing to finish their current passes before they expire, or raring for some new content to come along. So how long do you have left until Chapter 5 Season 2 ends?

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 end date

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is currently scheduled to end on May 24th 2024 for every platform, giving Epic Games a period of downtime before the Chapter 5 Season 3 start date

The Myths and Mortals Season, so-named for its Ancient Greece and Greek Mythology theme, has been a massive hit, bringing new items to the game like the Wings of Icarus, Zeus’ Thunderbolt and Gatekeeper Shotgun, as well as locations like Mount Olympus, Underworld and Grim Gate.

Most Fortnite Seasons typically last around two-and-a-half months, and this Season is no different, with the end date confirmed in the bottom left-hand corner of the in-game Battle Pass menu.

That means it’s now time to start gearing up to finish off your Battle Pass, hitting Fortnite Creative to farm some of the XP maps that are available in the game mode. For others, it’s time to complete quests and make use of some of the unique mechanics in the current build while they can, such as taking down the Greek Gods Zeus, Hades, Cerberus and Ares to get their Aspects of the Gods.

Luckily, for players that were looking for some new content to tide them over in the meantime, the new Star Wars collaboration has dropped, bringing back the fan-favourite Lightsabers and some new quests to try out while they wait for the start of the next season.
