Surprise hit FPS Trepang2 is coming to consoles in just a over a month’s time, following its successful debut on PC earlier this year.

The ultra-violent shooter originally launched on the PC back in June, and will now be available on current gen consoles on October 2, 2023. If you’re not familiar, the game puts you in the boots of a genetically enhanced super soldier with no memory of your past and how you got there. However, it turns out you’ve now super-enhanced, giving you unparalleled combat abilities and pitting you against a bullet-hell world of operatives who just want to take you down.

It includes a full Campaign and Horde mode for you to get stuck into, and a bunch of game-changing abilities to master. You can check out the game in action for yourself with the trailer we’ve included below from the game’s original launch. The console version also includes an exclusive Powerjour Outfit pre-order bonus – a unique set of clothing options which can be equipped from your locker in the safehouse.

We thought it was a great time when we reviewed the PC version back in June. We said the game was “an excellent ultra-violent shooter that balances intensely satisfying combat and stealth gameplay with a tight, engaging narrative full of mystery. With perfect pacing, immersive boss fights and a thought-provoking ending, it achieves everything it aims for with the precision and technique of a super soldier.” You can read our full Trepang2 review right over here, if you fancy.
