How to customise appearance in Trepang2
To change appearance in Trepang2, you need to interact with the locker back at home base. You’ll find this locker in the central room that connects the target range, the combat simulator room, and the mission selection room. It’s not far from your station where you can customise guns before a mission.
When you interact with this locker, it’ll bring up the outfit selection screen. From here you’ll be able to change the following parts of your outfit:
- Gloves
- Pants
- Shirt
- Shoes
You’ll be able to alter each of these separately, selecting different colours and patterns, and mixing and matching to your heart’s content. What you wear shouldn’t affect your stealth capabilities though, so if you’re trying to figure out how to use stealth in Trepang2 you don’t need to worry about your neon blue crocs having any effect.

How to equip weapon skins in Trepang2
Weapon skins are now in Trepang2. Though not a feature when we played through the game for our Trepang2 review, the September 2023 patch has added in a few different skins for your weapons, to further develop your ability to customise. You can equip these skins from any workbench, whether at your home base or in a level.
How to unlock outfits
These outfits and sets will unlock as you complete main missions and sometimes side missions, though some require you to complete a mission at a particular difficulty. If you’re unsure how to unlock an outfit or accessory, hover over it in the customisation menu. As long as you have the required mission unlocked from the mission selection table, a popup of text will tell you which mission and difficulty you need to complete to unlock the given item.
