Knowing how to customise guns in Trepang2 is a vital skill for optimising your stealth and combat approaches in-game. With an emphasis on maximal efficiency in any engagement, the game’s weapon customisation system is easy to underrate, but important, especially on higher difficulties.

Here, we’ll cover how to customise guns in Trepang2 so that you can get the most out of your firearms. You’ll need to pick up the attachments first though, some of which are in combat areas. And you’ll need to unlock weapons and throwables to customise them whenever you like. So make sure you know everything you need to about Trepang2 stealth before you go searching.

How to customise guns in Trepang2

To customise guns in Trepang2, you need to interact with a workbench. You can find workbenches throughout all levels in-game. In our playthrough for our Trepang2 review, we found the first one about three quarters of the way through the opening mission, just prior to entering the depths of the maintenance tunnels.

Once you find a workbench, hold F to interact with it. Whatever gun you’re currently holding will be brought up in the workbench menu.

This menu will show you all the available attachments you can attach or switch out on each weapon. If you’ve picked up a weapon customise kit that had a particular attachment, you’ll then be able to fit it onto the weapon by simply selecting it. To exit the menu, just tap the escape button. To customise a different weapon, swap over to it and then reselect the workbench.

You can now also customise the skins on your weapons at a workbench. Just interact with a workbench and press “I” to bring up the weapon skins menu.

There are a lot of different attachments to unlock, and they all do different things. Scopes are useful on weapons like the DMR to score long-range kills. Silencers, meanwhile, are essential for taking down enemies quietly from a distance, or destroying lights to create shadows to hide in without the noise alerting anyone.

That covers how to customise guns in Trepang2. As you progress through the game you’ll likely find that fine tuning your gun becomes an increasingly important endeavour – and increasingly easy as you collect more customise kits. But you’ll need more insight if you want to know how to beat all the Trepang2 bosses, so make sure to check out our advice.
