Nexon are set to introduce the second half of Season 1 for The First Descendant. The original plan was for Season 1 to be split into three parts, but it was changed to two following feedback from players. This TFD update is introducing lots of new content, but the biggest addition is Ultimate Freyna. Here is The First Descendant Ultimate Freyna release date and time countdown so you know when update 1.1.4 maintenance will start and officially end.
You can check out the early patch notes for the imminent update so you know everything new that is set to arrive. Some of the highlights include a batch of gorgeous Halloween skins, a new boss fight called Death Stalker, and 400% Infiltration Operations. Beyond this update, Nexon has also teased exciting plans for Season 2.
While there’s a lot to anticipate for the imminent update, The First Descendant community is looking forward to Ultimate Freyna the most. The release date and time countdown has been shared by Nexon, and we don’t have too much longer left to wait.
The First Descendant Ultimate Freyna release date
The release date for Ultimate Freyna in The First Descendant is October 10th. She will come out as part of update 1.1.4 along with everything else already announced by Nexon.
She is the newest Ult joining the game following on from Ult Valby who arrived with the addition of Luna. Per the TFD roadmap, another Ultimate Descendant will be introduced with Season 2 in December. We don’t know who yet, and there are no indications or any leaks.
When does Ultimate Freyna come out in The First Descendant?
The release time for when Ultimate Freyna will come out in The First Descendant is 5AM PT/8AM ET/1PM BST on October 10th.
All of the above launch hours come courtesy of Nexon’s maintenance notice shared on X. Per the developer, maintenance for update 1.1.4 will start on October 9th at 10PM PT, as well as 1AM ET/6AM BST on October 10th, and it should end at the hours listed above.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to play during maintenance. It’s also important to note that all of the above times are subject to change.

New TFD skins
Nexon has revealed two skins for the new TFD Ult. Both will be available from October 10th, and each of them look incredible.
One is the default outfit that includes the much complained about helmet, meanwhile, the other alluring cosmetic that includes the black-and-green color scheme associated with Freyna. You can check out both attires in the embedded post below:
The First Descendant Ultimate Freyna modules
Below are the new modules for Ultimate Freyna in The First Descendant:
- Toxic Mixture:
- Freyna’s passive skill Contagion Links is changed to Toxic Mixture. When equipped, this skill module will trigger Necrosis instead of Room 0 Trauma. As enemies gain more stacks of Necrosis, your Firearm ATK increases when you shoot at them, and if an enemy reaches max stacks, your Firearm Critical Hit Rate also increases.
- Venom Injection:
- Defense Mechanism is changed to Venom Injection. Venom Injection consumes resources to recover your Shield and increase Skill Power Modifier, while inflicting Corrosion on enemies. Enemies inflicted with Corrosion suffer reduced Toxin Resistance, making them more vulnerable to Freyna’s Toxic attacks.
