The First Descendant will have no update "next week" as dev promises fans needn't worry

Nexon has been fully committed to The First Descendant since day one of the game’s launch. The developer has been listening to the TFD community nonstop, and they have been working tirelessly to adapt the game based on player feedback. Hotfixes have been a regular occurrence since day one, but the game’s producer has confirmed there will not be an update “next week” for The First Descendant.

While there will be no update next week, Nexon has just shared the update 1.1.2b patch notes. This has made a huge change to Ultimate weapons, but it is only temporary. As for the future, Nexon has promised multiplayer mode for Invasion Dungeons, and they have also confirmed test servers are on the way for players to sign up.

While we cannot wait for multiplayer Invasion Dungeons and test servers, nothing will be happening at all next week as no update is inbound. The First Descendant producer has explained why while also assuring fans they needn’t be worried about the second major update for Season 1.

The First Descendant producer announces no update for “next week”

The First Descendant producer, Lee Beom-jun, has shared a message to the community on X to announce there will be no update “next week”.

As for why there will be no update, it’s because the developers are based in Korea where they will be celebrating the upcoming Chuseak holiday. This is considered an important holiday in Korea, and it runs from September 16th to the 18th.

The producer explains that the developers have been working “tirelessly” since the game’s launch, so this short break will give them the perfect chance to “recharge and continue working to improve the game”.

In addition to explaining why there will be no update between September 16th and 20th, the producer has assured fans that Nexon is still on track to deliver the second major half of Season 1 on October 10th. This is the major update that will bring Ultimate Freyna to the game.
