The First Descendant devs will soon fix huge issue fans have with newly released skins

The First Descendant update 1.2.9 is now out. Following the release of the hot spring costumes earlier this month, Nexon has now released some secret agent skins. While the new TFD attires are decent, they’re not entirely a massive hit with the community, and this is because the newly released skins have an issue that The First Descendant developers are aiming to fix in Season 2 Episode 2.

As part of update 1.2.9, Nexon has released secret agent skins for The First Descendant. This might be one of the rare instances where the male skin is more popular than the female, even though fans are not entirely happy with the male attire having gloves.

While these skins were never going to be as popular or as easy on the eyes as the revealing hot spring bikinis and swimsuits, there is a recurring complaint amongst the community.

Following the release of the new skins, players are once again not thrilled about being unable to dye certain parts of the skins. The first reply underneath the patch notes on X asks Nexon to make the female shirt paintable, and there’s also the same complaint shared on Reddit.

Not being able to dye certain parts of skins has been a bane since day one of the game’s launch, but the good news is that a fix is on the way for Season 2 Episode 2. In the most recent Discord AMA for February, producer, Lee, has reaffirmed that Nexon are improving dyable areas.

Responding to several questions about dyes, Lee said, “In Season 2 Episode 2, we will be refining dyeable areas, adding support for dyeing eyebrows and beards, and addressing undyeable areas”. There is the caveat that “some undyeable sections may not be fully fixed” when Season 2 Episode 2 arrives, but Nexon “plan to continue improving them over time”.

It’s good that Nexon are improving undyeable areas, and hopefully these secret agent skins will be part of the improvement. Season 2 Episode 2 is currently scheduled to arrive on March 13th, and it will see the arrival of new playable character, Serena.
