The First Descendant fans have a lot to enjoy. Following the release of update 1.2.7, Nexon has announced over a dozen free rewards for players to get, and fans can also purchase the very lavish Hot Spring skins for the game’s ensemble of male and female supermodels. The new TFD costumes were highly-anticipated, and Steam’s best sellers chart prove that The First Descendant Hot Spring skins are a massive success that has saved the game from a quick death.

The First Descendant Hot Spring skins are a massive success

Following the release of The First Descendant hot spring skins, TFD moved up 82 positions in the Steam Top Sellers chart for the United States. This means it moved up from 93rd to 11th, where it is now just behind Apex Legends.

Rather than by player count, this chart documents the top 100 games on Steam by the highest amount of revenue. This means TFD players are splashing a good amount of money on the game’s store as The First Descendant is free-to-play.

While the United States is impressive, so too is global where The First Descendant has moved up 85 positions from 99th to 14th. There is also the United Kingdom where it is 22nd and in the Steam top 100 sellers for the first time.

This is fantastic news for Nexon, and it is clear proof that the Hot Spring skins are a monumental success monetarily. It’s evidently these skins as the rise in the charts has only materialized following the release of 1.2.7. While the player count hasn’t improved since its 95% drop from launch, the massive bump in revenue shows Nexon can continue supporting TFD, plus the fact the skins are also presumably selling well on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, too.

While some have taken issue with the attires, the Steam charts clearly show it is what players want and are willing to spend money on obtaining. The game has never shied away from focusing on super attractive men and women, and the beachwear is for both male and female characters, although the swimsuits for the ladies are clearly the more popular.

There will be more bikinis and swimsuits for The First Descendant in the summer, and there’s other appealing outfits Nexon has discussed plans for such as gym attire. As for what’s next, there will be secret agent skins released on February 27th.
