The First Descendant 2025 roadmap – exciting new characters, skins and huge updates

The First Descendant has had a strong debut year. Nexon has gained a passionate following, and this is because everyone adores the characters along with the fun gameplay loop. While 2024 has been a good introduction to TFD, the next 12-months should be even better with lots of improvements and additions. There is a roadmap for The First Descendant in 2025, and so far it includes exciting new characters, some gorgeous skins, and significant quality-of-life updates with new features.

Before 2024 ends, make sure you get caliber refunds from Nexon provided you are eligible. In addition, make sure to get all of the December 2024 rewards that are still available to claim until early in the new year. Not only that, but, if you haven’t already, you can grab a new free bundle featuring weapon skins and more in celebration of Season 2’s launch.

While all of the above are stuff available to claim and do right now, it’s time we look to the imminent future. Nexon has a lot of exciting plans for The First Descendant in 2025, and the roadmap reveals what fans can expect in the first quarter.

The above roadmap comes courtesy of Nexon’s Season 2 Void Chaser preview livestream. Of course, changes and delays can occur, so all of the above is not set-in-stone.

As you can see, there is a lot to be excited about. Ines Raya is set to come out in January, and fans already love her for one pretty big reason. Nexon hasn’t shared all of her abilities yet, but they have detailed some of her “electrifying” skills. Unfortunately, we don’t know anything about the new Season 3 character ‘Serena,’ but she should be another great addition to the TFD roster.

As for what’s not mentioned in the roadmap, Nexon have told fans that they are introducing jiggle physics with appropriate options. In addition, they have revealed the next Fellow planned after the German Shepherd, and collaborations with other IPs are officially “under review”.
