The Finals developer, Embark Studios, typically release a new patch every Wednesday. They sometimes release on a Thursday instead, but this is in rare circumstances only. Embark’s new update was said to be coming out today, but The Finals’ new update has been delayed again with the developer explaining why it is now coming out later this week.
While we don’t know of any balance changes or fixes yet, the new skin has leaked for the store rotation. As for what fans want to see from the patch, many are hoping that there will be nerfs for Light as the class is currently “killing the game”. Not only that, but fans would like to see changes to Terminal Attack, although this is not going to happen as per the developer’s response to fan complaints.
While we don’t know what to expect from the upcoming update other than the leaked skin, we do know that it has unfortunately been delayed twice.
The Finals new update is delayed again
On The Finals’ official Discord channel, Embark Oscar has announced that this week’s update has been delayed again. The announcement says Embark “solved the issue which postponed the update yesterday, but then found another issue we had to fix just as we were about to press the button this morning”.
As for when the update will arrive, Oscar has shared that Embark is “on track to release the update tomorrow instead, around 11AM CEST”.
Unfortunately, there is no specific details about what needed to be fixed, but it is, at least, explained that the update is not happening today because the developers had to resolve another dilemma. The postponement happening twice is unfortunate, but it’s apparent the developers are apologetic.
Although nothing is official, fans are hoping that we are getting a patch with significant balance changes and fixes. The past few updates have been pretty bare bones, and the delays seemingly imply that there is more to this update than every other patch since the beginning of Season 3. Fortunately, we only have to wait until tomorrow for the details to be shared.
