The Finals Season 4 is a lot of fun, and there is a lot to anticipate between now and the game’s inevitable fifth season. While it has brought back a lot of players to the game, there are other projects Embark is working on delivering. The full release won’t happen until 2025, but The Finals fans will be able to play Arc Raiders very soon.

Embark is delivering free missing multibucks from Season 3 World Tour to The Finals players, and this should happen today even though it was originally planned for yesterday. In addition, this month we are set to get a Halloween event, and in the future Embark are looking to add Team Deathmatch and clans.

While the imminent and far-off future of The Finals is bright, next year will see the release of their highly-anticipated new multiplayer shooter, Arc Raiders. If you’re lucky you will be able to play a little bit in just a couple of weeks.

How to play Arc Raiders playtest

The Finals developer, Embark, is soon starting a playtest for their new multiplayer shooter, Arc Raiders. This playtest starts on October 24th and will last until the 27th.

While Arc Raiders will be on console, this upcoming playtest will only be on PC. To be part of the playtest, simply visit the game’s Steam page and select “request access” to join.

Unfortunately, it’s not guaranteed you will receive an invite as only a pool of players will be chosen at random. However, it’s worth signing up for anyways as it’s free and you might be one of the lucky few.

Although the PvPvE playtest will be exclusive to Steam for PC, the game will launch on PS5, Xbox, and Epic in 2025. At Gamescom 2024, it was also announced that Arc Raiders will no longer be free-to-play when it launches next year.

Hopefully the game succeeds as many were disappointed with the premium announcement, and we have seen a recent disaster in Concord. Time will tell, but so far the game looks great.

There’s no specific release date for when it will come out, but we know that it is planned for 2025. Embark is the developer, but you needn’t worry about the future of The Finals as Embark personnel have shared they have plans up until at least Season 8.
