After a stealth drop at The Game Awards, explosive FPS The Finals hit 10 million players worldwide in just 15 days. It’s an incredible milestone for developer Embark Studios and its ex-Battlefield and Battlefront veteran talent speaks for itself.

Explosive FPS The Finals hits 10 million players in two weeks

In a post on X(formerly Twitter), Embark Studios announced that they had reached the significant goal post of 10 million players. We had a lot to say about the game in our elaborate The Finals review. Its blend of destruction and team-focused combat helped players crack open vaults and cash them in from all over the world. And with the 1.4.0 patch, the developers have tackled most of the criticism surrounding the game’s Heavy class.

The only real concern left is the number of cheaters who drastically impact the outcome of matches in The Finals. While the developers are working on a fix, it remains an issue to be tackled. But considering that The Finals still got over 200,000 concurrent players on Steam in under a day, this clearly hasn’t discouraged players from playing the game.

Since it’s a free-to-play title, I’d suggest hopping into the game to see if it’s worth the hype if you haven’t done so already. It’s got a neat mix of classes to pick from. If you prefer a grappling hook, check out our best light build loadout for The Finals. And if you want some general advice, we’ve got the best gadgets for all the classes in The Finals.

The new Holiday event also brings The Finals Twitch drops for some neat customization. Like any live-service title, keeping players entertained will depend on how frequently the game receives updates and new features. The Finals is out on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
