After literal years of waiting, Indiana Jones 5 has finally released it’s first ever trailer confirming the movie’s full title, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny:

As you can see in the trailer above, our favourite professor/archaeologist/tomb raider/relic hunter is well and truly back.

And he’s once again tackling the threat of the Nazi’s, punching every single one of them in the face. As he should. Especially, as we’d expect nothing less from the heroic Dr Jones, because Nazi’s should be punched, at, every, opportunity…

But, moving on, giving Nazi’s some much deserved bruises is not all the good Dr is up to this adventure. As we see him reunited, all too briefly, with his old friend Sallah (John Rhys-Davies). Who we hear lamenting that he misses the desert, the sea, and the adventure of each new day.

As the trailer shows that before he is called back into action. Indy is living a relatively quiet life in 60’s New York. With several shots showing him giving a lecture and walking the halls and back rooms of a university.

It’s not long though before the action kicks into high gear and we hear the familiar strains of John William’s iconic theme as all kinds of chaos ensues.

As a lifelong Indiana Jones fan, I am inordinately excited by this footage showing that Harrison Ford is as much Indy now as he’s ever been.

And, based on the footage in this teaser alone, should he ride off into the sunset at the movies end, I can think of no more fitting send off for one of cinema’s greatest heroes.
