The brand new 2nd official trailer for ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ has finally been released and you can check it out below:
Arriving after a Continental Hotel clock had counted down to its final second, similar to the 1 hour reprieve given to John before the open contract on his life in ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’.

This new trailer gives us a greater look at the story of ‘Chapter 4’ and the conflicts that await John following his (seeming) betrayal by Ian McShane’s Winston at the end of ‘Parabellum’.
As the trailer reveals that new character, the Marquis de Gramont (played by Bill Skarsgård), appears to be taking control of The High Table as he chillingly tells an unseen character (possibly Winston):
“A new day is dawning. New ideas. New rules. New… management“.
The trailer then shows Winston advising John that in order to leave the life of an assassin once more. He will have to challenge the Marquis to single combat and win.

However, based on the trailer, just like John’s “impossible task” that allowed him to leave the life before. Leaving once more doesn’t appear to be as simple as just challenging the Marquis to single combat.
As we find out that should either John or the Marquis not arrive on time for their duel at sunrise, they will be executed.
With the implication throughout the trailer that much of the movie will revolve around John having to survive and overcome a gauntlet of attackers and assassins sent to stop him reaching the duel on time.
This new trailer promises as much action, suspense, and mythology expansion as the previous ‘John Wick’ movies, including showing John, seemingly, returning to the Ruska Roma who raised him.
A plot point that could potentially also be a tie-in to the ‘Ballerina’ movie starring Ana De Armas which began principal photography this week and is spin-off set in the ‘John Wick’ universe.
‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ is set for release next year on 23rd March 2023 and you can read more about the movie here which also includes information on the upcoming ‘The Continental’ TV series.
Another spin-off set in the ‘John Wick’ universe that is set to tell the story of Winston as a young man in 1970’s New York City.
