Bandai Namco has unveiled another two fighters coming to its highly anticipated Tekken 8 when the latest iteration of the series arrives on consoles and PC.

The characters in question include the BMX-riding Asuka Kazama – a member of the series staple Kazama family, as she’s ostensibly Jin’s cousin and returning favourite Jun Kazama’s niece. She’s described as a master of her family’s signature style – and is rivals with Emilie De Rochfort, better known to fans as Lili.

Joining her will be Leroy Smith, the character first introduced to the series as a brand new DLC character in Tekken 7. This’ll be his first base-game appearance then, but he’s already proven himself popular with the fans, no doubt in-part due to his faithful canine companion Sugar.

You can check out new trailers for both fighters below.

The two fighters are the latest additions to an ever-growing roster for the game, which at the time of writing still doesn’t have a release date. However, Bandai Namco have been very busy revealing two new fighters a week for the past few weekends now, so we’d have to assume we won’t be waiting too much longer for one.

Other reveals in recent weeks have included fan favourites such as Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, King and of course, Jin and Kazuya of the Mishima clan. However, significantly Tekken 8 will also see the return of Jin’s mother, Jun Kazama as a playable character.

That’s significant as she’s not been a playable character in the mainline Tekken games (not counting Tekken Tag Tournament, etc) since 1995’s Tekken 2. Though she has featured in plenty of cameos – and playable in spin-offs, etc – since, so many long term fans are very excited at seeing her make her return.

Tekken 8 will of course have some major competition whenever it does launch, of course, with Street Fighter 6 set for release this June, and Mortal Kombat 12 is confirmed to be in the works at NetherRealm. Whenever Tekken 8 does release, however, it’ll be on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
