Goichi Suda, known as Suda 51, has teased that his studio, Grasshopper Manufacture, may reveal its next game this year.

Speaking in an interview on the NetEase Games YouTube channel (via VGC), Suda said:

“The games we make at this studio, I mean the really, truly cool and all-new games, we’re going to continue creating them. I wonder when I can announce them? Maybe around the end of the year?”

Suda did also caveat that tease, by saying that it “may end up being next year, we’ll see how it goes.” And then: “I want to hurry up and show everyone what we’re doing.”

An interesting tidbit is that, in the video, the camera drifts by a computer screen showing a Power Ranger’s helmet. Could this be a sign? Perhaps Suda and Grasshopper Manufacture are working on a licensed Power Rangers game.

The most recent game from the studio was No More Heroes III. In VideoGamer’s review of that game, I argued that the game is worth your time: “If you are undecided on the matter, take the leap. It’s hardly serious s***, but I urge you to say screw it.”

Indeed, and I still do, especially because it’s heading to other consoles and to the PC this year.
