Dotemu and Guard Crush Games have announced that the Mr. X Nightmare DLC for Streets of Rage 4 will land on July 15.
The DLC, as previously established, will include three new characters in the form of Shiva, Max Thunder and Estel Aguirre. It’ll also include a brand new Survival Mode that sees you head into a simulation where you’ll have to take on endless waves of enemies. Completing each wave also lets you pick from a set of randomised perks for the next one. Bonuses can stack, so the longer you go the more powerful you’ll be, but the enemies you’ll face will get tougher too.
The mode will also include a Weekly challenge, which changes the randomised waves with a prescribed collection of enemies. Completing this one, which as the name implies will change on a weekly basis, allows you to compete against friends for the highest score on the leaderboards.
A free update will also come along with the DLC, that promises to add a training mode, Mania+ difficulty, balance changes and more. Check out the trailer for yourself below.
