Capcom has announced that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be making their mark on beat-em-up Street Fighter 6 in a collaboration event kicking off on August 8.

The announcement was made towards the end of the EVO event in Las Vegas over the weekend, revealing that a bunch of TMNT related content will be available for players to pick up as part of the promotion. These include such items as gear, emotes, titles, TMNT stamps, in-game device wallpapers and even the ability to change your Battle Hub and World Tour avatar into one of the four titular Turtles – Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael and Donatello – so you can represent your favourite shell-kicking hero. Speaking of the Battle Hub, it’s also getting some appropriately themed decorations for the occasion.

There’s no word just yet on how much the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will cost just yet, but they’ll be available from August 8. It’s of course not the first time the characters have appeared in a beat-em-up of course, but it is worthy of note that their previous dabble in the world of fighting games came within rival developer NetherRealm Studio’s Injustice 2 back in 2018 – though those versions had more akin to the Michael Bay movies versions of the characters, whereas this one is firmly set in the Nickelodeon cartoon universe.

Still, it’s looking like it’ll be a great collaboration for fans of both series’ – and it’s not the only collaboration Street Fighter will be doing in the near future either, as Street Fighter characters are set to turn up in Exoprimal later this year.
