If you want to be at the top of Capcom’s latest fighting game, then learning how to trigger pressure time in Street Fighter 6 is of the utmost importance. Not only does this mechanic give you the chance to stun your enemies but it also gives you the opportunity to land a combo that can end up winning you the match.

Unfortunately, figuring out how this feature works isn’t as easy as finding out how to wall jump in Street Fighter 6 so you may still be confused at this point in time. Luckily, we’re here to show you exactly what you need to do so you can start executing it in the game with ease.

What is pressure time in Street Fighter 6?

Pressure time is a World Tour combat mechanic that essentially gives you an idea of when to counter an enemy’s attack. In the game’s single-player mode, your opponent’s outline will flash white when pressure time gets triggered, meaning you’ll need to land a hit on them at that exact point so you can counter their move immediately afterwards.

This mechanic is also different from the Perfect Parry since you’ll be the one doing the attacking. However, the timing required to execute it is largely similar because you will have to wait for a specific frame in order to make use of its full potential.

How do you trigger pressure time in Street Fighter 6?

In order to trigger pressure time, you will simply need to wait for your opponent to make a move until their outline flashes white. Once they do, this will be the ideal time to strike because as soon as they get hit, they’ll be thrown back allowing you to execute a deadly Drive Rush or combo that can turn the tides in your favor.

It’s important to keep in mind, though, that pressure time doesn’t activate outside of World Tour. This means that in both the Battle Hub and Fighting Ground modes, you’ll need to rely on instinct and timing instead as opposed to a visual cue.

Nevertheless, you should still be able to get the execution down by constantly practicing against enemies through the game’s single-player mode. Just try not to rely on the flash of a white outline to attempt a counterattack outside of it or you just might end up losing the match entirely.
