The Street Fighter 6 demo for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 is out now according to Capcom’s latest showcase. If you plan on playing the game on other consoles, however, you’ll have to wait until April 26 for its release on Xbox and PC platforms.

With the Street Fighter 6 release date steadily approaching, the hype surrounding the latest Capcom fighting game entry only continues to build. Now that the playable demo is available ahead of its launch, the building excitement will only become more palpable as players get to try the intriguing game modes within.

According to the demo trailer released by the developers, you’ll be able to try out the intriguing single-player World Tour mode in the trial. Once you start it up, you’ll be able to make your very own unique character using the Avatar Creator that contains a wide array of cosmetic options. The character that you create can also be carried over to the full game once it’s been released – as long as you play on the same platform as the demo, that is.

Unfortunately, the progress you’ve made throughout the demo can’t be continued so you’ll have to start over from the very beginning. It’s currently unclear whether you’ll be able to try out some of the other match types that are available in the game. But even if you can’t, the World Tour mode is already extensive enough that it should give you plenty to do until Street Fighter 6’s launch.

Aside from getting the chance to create your preferred character, you can also traverse the colorful world of the single-player campaign. This includes being able to fight against certain NPCs that are walking its streets, which means you can also practice some of the moves you’ll be making early on before you fight other players online.
