There were rumors that a State of Play is inbound for February 2025, and this has now been confirmed by Sony. The event is officially taking place on February 12th, and it will happen at 2PM PT/5PM ET/10PM GMT. While we don’t officially know what games will be showcased, fresh leaks suggest the State of Play for February 2025 will have a major God of War announcement.
State of Play February 2025 God of War leak
There is an alleged leak that claims State of Play February 2025 will see the announcement of a God of War Greek Saga remaster. This comes courtesy of Reddit user, Feeling-Examination6, as shared on the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit by extra_bruh_moment.
This isn’t the first time rumors of a Greek Saga Remaster have appeared online. Back in October 2024, there were rumors of a Greek Saga Remaster bundle that would include the original God of War trilogy as well as Chains of Olympus and Ascension. The rumor also claimed that “development is being handled by Nixxes, who are working in collaboration with Santa Monica”.
It was also stated that the Remaster would be announced in March 2025 to coincide with God of War’s 20th anniversary, as the first installment released on the PS2 back on March 22nd, 2005. However, it’s possible it could be announced in February for State of Play, with a release date to coincide with its 20th anniversary instead.
Remember that this is only a leak rather than anything official. According to extra_bruh_moment on Reddit, Feeling-Examination6 leaked the Hell Is Us release date for September 4th before PlayStation Size. However, there is some trepidation amongst the community as some believe the Reddit account is an alternate for Lunatic_Ignus, who has been right and wrong with several high profile leaks in the past.
