February is an incredibly busy month for fans of video games. There’s the imminent release date for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, there’s Pirate Yakuza, there’s a fantastic blast from the past with Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered, and the month ends with the highly-anticipated Monster Hunter Wilds. While all these games are official, leaks also suggest we are getting a PlayStation State of Play in February 2025, and, according to an often-reliable leaker, it is happening very soon.
State of Play February 2025 date possibly leaked
NateTheHate is a prominent leaker who has suggested a State of Play is happening in February 2025. They first hinted at a SoP back in January, and now they have provided an update by narrowing down the possible date.
Recently, NateTheHate was asked if a State of Play is still happening in February. The leaker responded “yes,” and they were then asked if they can reveal whether it’s happening early or mid-February. To this, NateTheHate responded, “What does your heart tell you?”.

Although nothing is confirmed or explicit, this seems to imply that a State of Play is happening during Valentine’s week. Seeing as Sony typically conduct their SoP events on Tuesday and Thursday, the most likely date is either February 11th or 13th.
Again, this isn’t official from Sony, and NateTheHate hasn’t explicitly stated Valentine’s week either, although they have seemingly hinted. While nothing has been confirmed as of writing, NateTheHate is an often-reliable leaker with a good track record. Recently, they were credited with accurately leaking the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal date.
If a SoP does happen as leaks suggest, it’s likely we will see more Ghost of Yotei and Death Stranding 2 as they are both scheduled for a 2025 release. There could also be more Helldivers 2 in wake of its one-year anniversary, plus fans will be praying to see Insomniac’s Wolverine.
In other PlayStation news, the Helldivers 2 CEO has said he really “loves” the idea of a Warhammer crossover.
