It’s t-minus 9 days until the much anticipated launch of Starfield and rumors surrounding Bethesda’s expansive open space RPG are starting to come out in droves. This time around, a report has surfaced containing alleged details on the game’s first early access patch. Though currently unconfirmed, the information provided make it seem as if the fixes are legitimate and these changes could be introduced during the pre-release period.

Ahead of the Starfield release date, a recent article from Insider-Gaming states that the upcoming patch will reportedly be titled Starfield 1.7.23 and it will allegedly introduce “a number of fixes across the game as well as the addition of the virtual keyboard for those playing on Steam Deck.” Some of the other changes reportedly included are “improved stability related to suspending and resuming the game” on Xbox Series X|S as well as resolutions to several performance issues.

As always, we recommend taking these details with the customary grain of salt for the time being as these alleged changes haven’t been confirmed by Bethesda officials just yet. But with the Starfield early access start date currently slated for September 1, 2023 in most regions, you should soon be able to find out whether these patch notes are legitimate or not.

Of course, these Starfield early access patch notes aren’t the only recent game-related leaks that have surfaced in the past few days. Back in the middle of August, footage of the first 30 minutes of Starfield also somehow leaked online, though it’s currently unclear how the leaker was able to gain immediate access to the game. A majority of these clips have since been taken down, but not before numerous fans were able to get a quick look at Starfield’s opening scenes.

If you want to see what the reported patch notes are for yourself, we recommend checking them out through Insider-Gaming’s aforementioned article. Alternatively, you can also take a look at our guides on Starfield factions, Starfield Jemison planet, and Starfield Mars planet instead.
