Starfield developer Bethesda Game Studios has released a message thanking the game’s community for its “messages of encouragement” that kept them going “through the ups and downs of development.”

This appreciative message from the beloved video game company comes ahead of the Starfield release date and immediately after studio head Todd Howard himself created a thread on Reddit thanking Starfield’s ‘smartest fans’ for their passion and excitement. Though created separately, the development team’s message echoed a similar sentiment as their sincere post said: “To all of you who have supported us over the many years and games, a heartfelt thank you for all your passion and energy for Starfield.”

“Thank you for allowing us to chase our dreams and create them,” Bethesda’s message continued. “Creating Starfield has been one of the most challenging and thrilling experiences of our careers – a journey we’ll never forget.” With Howard previously revealing that Starfield only became “fun to play as late as last year,” developing it from the ground up was undoubtedly a grueling process that may not have been possible without the fan base’s support.

Now that we’re nearing the actual launch and the Starfield early access release time, though, the fruits of Bethesda’s labor will soon be experienced by the gaming community at large – a long-awaited interstellar journey that will surely be talked about for years to come.
