EA has announced that a Star Wars Battlefront II multiplayer beta will be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC, starting on October 4 for those who pre-order the game, and a couple of days later for those who don’t. Featuring 20 v 20 battles, and even space fighting in memorable starfighter battles, it sure does look like heaps of fun.

In this beta, you’ll be able to take your ‘favourite heroes’ into battle on the large scale 20 v 20 Galactic Assault mode on Theed City, fighting alongside (and against) Republic clone troopers and battle droids on the streets surrounding the royal palace. So just like that E3 multiplayer demo then.

Also included in the multiplayer beta is a Starfighter Assault battle. In this mode you jump into the cockpit of various ‘memorable starfighters from Star Wars’ and engage in some space battles. Beam me up Scot… dammit wrong one, I meant use the Force Luke.

In addition to earlier beta access,  anyone who pre-orders gets bonus content including Yoda’s Epic Lightsaber Mastery Star Card, which is only available for a limited time. Following the early access, the beta will open to the public two days later on October 6, ending October 9.

Star Wars Battlefront II is out on November 17 2017 for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
