Rumours are swirling that two of Korea’s biggest pop culture exports, Squid Game, and BTS, could be crossing over in a dream collaboration for fans of both who dream of seeing their favourite pop stars donning the iconic jumpsuits in Squid Game Season 2.
Such is the power and popularity worldwide of both BTS and Squid Game right now that a crossover between the two would appear to be a match made in box office heaven.
As, the merchandising potential alone to cash in on the collaboration, could, presumably, put a good dent in the production costs of a third season of Squid Game.

So, Is it true? Will BTS be in Squid Game Season 2’s Cast???
Well, nothing has been officially confirmed yet by the members of BTS and their management team, or, from Netflix or the Squid Game production team.
However, it is well known that BTS’ V is potentially seeking to go back into acting alongside his music career, and we know he has struck up a friendship with Squid Game and Star Wars: The Acolyte star, Lee Jung-jae. With the two posing for a fun selfie on Jung-jae’s Instagram back in August 2022.
Additionally, V has took to the stage wearing one of the show’s iconic red jumpsuits for a live performance in Los Angeles. While, fellow bandmate, Jin, made their own reference to the smash hit show, by wearing their hair in pigtails akin to the show’s now iconic Younghee doll.
So, while there’s no outright confirmation, yet, that BTS will be appearing in Squid Game Season 2. There’s also no outright denial either, meaning that it’s a still very real possibility.

What is Squid Game Season 2 release date?
No official release date has been confirmed for the series yet by either Netflix or the Squid Game production team but it is believed that it could release in either late 2023 or in 2024.
Is there a squid Game Season 2 in Korean?
The answer to this is both yes and no. Yes, because the series is shot in Korean and so will be available in Korean once it has been released. But, no, because Season 2 hasn’t actually released at the time of writing this article with an official release date still unconfirmed.
