Nintendo has added three more classic Mega Drive games for subscribers to its Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service.

From today, players can get their hands on Sonic Spinball, Shining Force II and Space Harrier II. The first of these, Sonic Spinball, is of course the pinball-themed spinoff starring everybody’s favourite Blue Blur. Somewhat loosely based on Sonic 2‘s Casino Night Zone, you’re collecting chaos emeralds in a new way in this 1993 offering.

Shining Force II meanwhile is a turn-based RPG and arguably Sega’s counterpart to the then-Nintendo exclusive Final Fantasy series. Originally arriving in 1994, you’ll gather a party and venture forth using the game’s tile-based combat system. Finally, Space Harrier II is the classic shoot-em-up you know and love from the arcades. The home console version was actually a release title for the Mega Drive all the way back in 1990.

All three games join the ever growing library of Mega Drive classics on the service.  The last batch of additions came back in March and this latest set brings the total number of Mega Drive titles to a nice round 25. Subscribers also get access to a bunch of Nintendo 64 games for their subscription, with Mario Golf joining the library earlier this month.
