Nintendo has announced that the original Mario Golf will arrive via the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack next week.

The 1999 classic will come as the latest addition to the service’s collection of N64 games for subscribers. The game features 14 different characters including Mario, Peach, Luigi. Toad, Bowser and more each with their own power and swing styles. It remains a pretty impressively stuffed package even more than twenty years later, with ten modes and six courses. Some of those aforementioned modes include Tournament play, Speed Golf, Mini Golf and more.

Mario Golf marks the 14th title in the Nintendo 64 collection on Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack. We’ve pretty much had a new game added every month since the N64 library launched with an initial nine games. Since then we’ve welcomed classics like F-Zero X, Paper Mario and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.

We know of at least two games still to come (Pokémon Snap and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards) which, assuming Nintendo maintain this cadence, should take us through to the Summer. Does that mean they might announce a new batch during E3 2022 Summer Game Fest? We’ll have to wait and see.

In the meantime, you can check out the trailer for the arrival of Mario Golf on Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack below. It arrives on April 15, 2022. If you’re after the most recent game in the series, that’d be Mario Golf Super Rush which arrived on Nintendo Switch last June.
