Nintendo has dropped another three Sega Mega Drive games onto the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service.
From today, subscribers on the premium tier offering can pick from one of three early 1990s classics. The three games in question include Super Fantasy Zone, Light Crusader and Alien Soldier. All you have to do is boot up the Nintendo Switch Online app on your console, and you should find them waiting in your collection.
Super Fantasy Zone originally launched in 1992 and is a free moving shoot-em-up. It’s the last game in the Fantasy Zone series that started all the way back in the Arcades in 1986. Light Crusader meanwhile is an isometric action adventure full of goblins and wizards. Finally, Alien Soldier is very much what it says on the tin. It’s a side-scrolling run and gun shooter not too dissimilar to Gunstar Heroes.
There’s now 22 Mega Drive titles on the Nintendo Switch Online service, with the previous update adding five more games including Altered Beast back in December. Subscribers to the Expansion Pack upgrade can also enjoy a number of Nintendo 64 games, with the service welcoming F-Zero X just last week.
Meanwhile, tomorrow will see Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers get a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe related treat. The first wave of an eventual 48 remastered DLC courses will drop tomorrow in a new Booster Pass. Subscribers get the Booster Pass included in their subscription for no extra cost, while non-subscribers will have to pay £22.49 for the privilege.
