Rebellion has announced the next entry in its shooter series Sniper Elite 5 will release on May 26 on consoles and PC.

In case you missed the original announcement, the game sees the return of elite marksman Karl Fairburne. Travelling to France, Karl will have to use all his long and short range skills, infiltrate the Nazi’s position in France and foil their evil plans before they can happen. Along the way, he’ll clash with the nefarious Axis Obergruppenführer, Abelard Möller. The game will also feature a new Invasion mode, as previously detailed here.

Along with the game’s release date comes details of the game’s pre-order bonuses. Those who put down their money from today will get a free bonus mission in the game’s ‘Target Führer’ campaign. Named Wolf Mountain, players will have to infiltrate Hitler’s private mountain retreat, and take down Hitler himself. There’s bonus kudos for taking him out in the most imaginative way possible.

Those same pre-order players will also be able to get their hands on the P.1938 Suppressed Pistol. On top of that, those who opt for the Deluxe Edition will also get the game’s Season Pass. That’ll include 2 campaign missions, a couple of weapon skin packs and character packs and six weapon packs. More details about those will arrive in the coming weeks.

You can check out the Sniper Elite 5 release date trailer for the game for yourself down below. The game arrives on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC on Thursday, May 26. It’ll also be available on launch via Xbox Game Pass.
