Shadow of the Tomb Raider is coming to PS4, PC, and Xbox One on September 14, Square Enix has announced. The official reveal comes less than a day after the game’s release date was leaked via the source code for the series’ official website.
Billed as heroine Lara Croft’s ‘defining moment,’ Shadow of the Tomb Raider is expected to be the final chapter in the rebooted action-adventure franchise, and finally sees her origins story come to a close as she becomes the titular Tomb Raider.
There’s not much else to go on right now, although Square did confirm that a full reveal for the sequel will take place on April 27. For now though, we at least have a brief teaser trailer to gawk at.
In related news, the Tomb Raider movie starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft is currently doing the rounds in cinemas.
