Square Enix has managed to leak the Shadow of the Tomb Raider release date via the source code for the series’ official website, with the Lara Croft-fronted action-adventure sequel due to release on September 14.

There’s a heap more info contained within the code too, including confirmation that Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be the final chapter in the rebooted franchise following 2013’s Tomb Raider and 2015’s Rise of the Tomb Raider. The game will launch on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.

Crucially, it appears Square Enix is looking to officially reveal the game at 6.00pm PDT tomorrow, March 15, with pre-order incentives reportedly going live on April 27 (and perhaps a little more; it isn’t clear yet if tomorrow will be a major reveal or whether the publisher is saving more for later).

Shadow of the Tomb Raider was previously outed via a selection of art work and even popped up on a developer’s laptop on a Montreal subway.
