Developer Ska Studios has shown off new footage of upcoming hack and slasher Salt and Sacrifice in its latest gameplay trailer.
As spotted by Gematsu, the video shows off “a newly-forged Marked Inqusitor hunt a deadly Pyromancer. We get to see a Paladin, one of the game’s eight starting classes, taking on beasts in the Ashborne Village area of the game.
The side-scroller is the latest title from the The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai team. The studio has promised a much heavier focus on co-op this time around, with both local and online options available. Its predecessor was Salt and Sanctuary, which released for PlayStation 4 back in 2016.
The Dark Souls influence is very prominent, and James Silva has even promised Summoning mechanics will make an appearance. He says that the game will “emphasize exploration as much as Mage hunts” for the feature. So, hopefully you won’t just be calling friends to help take down the tougher bosses.
