Deep Silver and Volition have put out a new trailer for their upcoming Saints Row reboot, offering a first look at gameplay from the criminal action adventure.

Hosted by Bryce Charles—who voices the game’s default version of the Boss—we get some insight from the development team on Santo Illeso. Based in the southwestern USA, it’s described as a place surrounded by desert sunsets. The town’s motto is “Keep it Strange” which as the devs note is very fitting for a Saints Row game.

We’re also introduced to our new Saints. The team is made up of Eli, who’s more about the hostile takeover than getting his hands dirty. Then there’s Nina who’s an obsessive gearhead with a strong sense of family. The shirtless Kevin meanwhile, wants to be a TV chef. They’ll back up your Boss in their own way, with the aim being to create a ‘relatable’ cast.

Conversely, we have the opposing factions you’ll go against during the game. Each one has their own distinct feel, including international corporation Marshall. They have access to the latest technology and aren’t afraid to use it. Meanwhile Los Panteros are about the muscle, and will hit you as hard as they can with melee attacks. Finally, the Idols are self styled anarchists, who’ll try and swarm you.
