The Resident Evil 2 remake already has an unlockable tofu mini-game, where you play as – yep, you've guessed it! – a lump of tofu. If you played the 1998 version of Resi 2, then this shouldn't come as a surprise.

However, the modding community has taken the concept of tofu one step further: say hell to the Tofu Zombies. As you might have guessed, this transforms every undead foe in the game into a lump of tofu.

It's a bit buggy at present, and the animations for the tofu-zombies are pretty stiff in places. However, it's still a good laugh mowing down blocks of tofu wearing Jill Valentine's S.T.A.R.S. beret.

The mod is available to grab here, and was made by Snipz as a homeage to the Tofu mode from Wii rail shooter, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles.

Remember to check out previous Resi 2 remake mods, including the static camera, first-person view, and the horrifying sight of Mr. X wearing an Umbrella thong

Resident Evil 2 came out on January 25 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, and is a masterclass in survival horror gaming.
