The PlayStation Plus June Essential games are now available to download. There is the usual offering of three Essential giveaways, and at least one of them is a fantastic platformer starring an icon of everyone’s childhood. While the Essential offerings are now available to grab, the reveal date for the PS Plus June 2024 Extra and Premium games is only a week away. But, before the curtain is fully pulled aside, some terrific additions are already confirmed with 15 games known to be leaving.

June is a really exciting month for the PlayStation community. Following on from PlayStation’s State of Play that revealed Concord and announced the release date for Silent Hill 2, we have Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest weekend. There are many exciting leaks and rumors for Summer Game Fest, and we also have Ubisoft Forward to anticipate, too.

While we cannot wait to see all of the game reveals and trailers during Summer Game Fest weekend, we’re equally excited for the PS Plus June 2024 Extra and Premium games. Sony is providing subscribers with the chance to return to arguably the best Tomb Raider game of all time, and this will be accompanied by other PS2 classics.

PS Plus Extra and Premium June 2024 games reveal date

The reveal date for the full line-up of PS Plus Extra and Premium June 2024 games is June 12th. Sony usually reveals the Extra and Premium games on a Wednesday one week after the release of the Essentials. The June 2024 Essentials were given away on June 4th, hence the expectation that Sony will pull the curtain aside next Wednesday.

After the games have been announced, they will come out to play on June 18th. In regard to the July 2024 Essentials, they are expected to be identified on June 26th.

To avoid missing out, make sure to claim the current monthly games before they expire. SpongeBob Cosmic Shake is actually an excellent platformer that you shouldn’t miss out on, meanwhile, AEW Fight Forever is fun for a couple of hour, and Streets of Rage 4 is a classic.

Looking at the above list, Tomb Raider Legend is fantastic for Premium. It’s arguably the best Tomb Raider game of all time, and here’s hoping it will be purchasable from the PSN store so it’s not dependant on a subscription to Premium.

15 games leaving

Below are 15 games known to be leaving on June 18th:

  • EA Sports FC 24 (Essential)
  • Slime Rancher

Dodgeball Academia is another fun game with an RPG component.
