It’s been a decent year for PS Plus subscribers. There was an annoying price increase for subscriptions, but the offerings each month have been relatively strong. We are in the penultimate month of the year, and the reveal date for the PS Plus December 2023 games is right around the corner. There are some possible leaks online for the Premium classics, and there also enticing predictions for the Essential additions.

Remember that the PSN store Black Friday sale 2023 is set to end today. This is your final opportunity to renew your PS Plus 12-month subscription so you can avoid Sony’s price increase. It’s also simply the best time to buy some of the fantastic games that were released earlier this year as well as further in the past. In addition, don’t forget to download the PS Plus November 2023 Essentials selection before they get removed in just a few weeks.

Gamers have been treated to a fantastic year of video game releases. Sony has spoiled us with epic exclusives such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and here’s hoping they end the year well with great December 2023 offerings for all PlayStation subscribers.

Expected PS Plus December 2023 games reveal date

The PS Plus December 2023 Essential games should be revealed on November 29th. The next batch of Essential offerings is always revealed on the final Wednesday of the current month and one week before the release date for the next Essential freebies. The PlayStation blog post for November 2023 reveals that the next Essential selection will be released on December 5th.

As for Extra and Premium, they should be announced on December 13th. Sony typically announces the Extra and Premium additions on Wednesday one week after the release of the Essentials. This can be seen in November when the Essential offerings came out on November 7th, with the upper tier additions announced on November 15th.

Possible PS Plus December 2023 game leak

Games possibly leaked for PS Plus December 2023 include the following PS1 and PSP classics:

  • Disney/Pixar Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (PS1)
  •   Thrillville: Off the Rails (PSP)
  •   Thrillville (PSP)

All of the above leaks come courtesy of Gematsu on Twitter. They report that the aforementioned games have been rated for PS4 and PS5 in Taiwan. Gematsu previously broke the news of Disney Pixar’s UP being rated in Taiwan for PS4 and PS5 before it was then announced by Sony as part of the November 2023 Premium additions. Assuming history repeats itself, that means the above-listed games will be part of PS Plus Premium for December 2023. However, this isn’t confirmed, and they could be added in December or sometime in 2024.

Predictions

While some of the Premium games may have leaked, we have nothing but predictions for PS Plus December 2023 Essentials. It’s possible leaks will come, but they typically come from billbil-kun the Tuesday before Sony’s reveal. However, they don’t always pull the curtain on the games before Sony, so there’s a chance leaks don’t materialize.

As for predictions, Reddit hosts a monthly tournament thread for gamers to participate in. Some of the Essential predictions include Metal Hellsinger, which would be amazing, as well as Sable and a Plague Tale Requiem. Other predictions include Final Fantasy Crisis Core to start building hype for part 2 of Final Fantasy VII, and there are also guesses like the usual Sifu as well as Rollerdrome because it joins Game Pass in November.

Predictions are always hard to make and most of the time they’re just aimless guesses. However, we at least have possible leaks for Premium to get excited about. In other PlayStation news, Sony has announced the release date for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered along with the PS5 upgrade price.
