Fortnite Ranked mode replaced Arena as a means to get players into competitive, with tournaments being held for players in different ranks and the top competitors being able to take part in FNCS each season. While less popular than the core modes, the Ranked mode has become incredibly popular, with many preferring it due to it not having any AI players at higher ranks.
Each season, Epic Games releases Ranked Quests which grant players with cosmetics, but so far there have been no skins given away for playing competitive Fortnite. But, that could be set to change based on a brand new leak.
Prominent Fortnite leaker HYPEX has revealed that Lynx could be returning to the game as a Ranked reward skin.

Lynx was a tier 1 reward for the Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 7 Battle Pass in Winter 2018. There have also been numerous variations of the skin in the years since, including Ali, who is Lynx’s sister, from the April 2021 Crew Pack. Trailblazer Lynx and Vix are two more variations that can be purchased in the Item Shop.
It has been rumored since Ranked began that Epic Games would reward players with a free skin for reaching Unreal Rank to encourage players to get into competitive, but so far it hasn’t materialized. Other cosmetics, such as back blings, gliders, and pickaxes have been given away for completing Ranked Quests. With Chapter 5 wrapping up before the end of the year, it is unclear whether Epic Games will start adding exclusive Ranked skins to the game soon or wait until Chapter 6 begins.
We have now officially entered the final month of Chapter 5 Season 3, which is due to end on August 16th. There have been rumors that Season 4 could be another Marvel-themed season, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet. However, we do know that a collaboration to promote Wolverine & Deadpool is coming so it is possible. But what we do know is that Fortnite OG Chapter 2 is set to return before the end of the year to conclude Chapter 5, which will take players back to POIs such as The Agency, Sweaty Sands, and The Shark.
