PlayStation has announced it’ll be holding its next State of Play presentation next week, including a peek at PS VR2 games.

As per the PlayStation Blog, the broadcast on Thursday, June 2 will include around 30 minutes of announcements and updates. While they’re not mentioning specific games just yet, they do promise a “sneak peek at several games in development for PlayStation VR2”. Aptly, earlier this week PlayStation confirmed it would have more than 20 games ready for the new headset’s launch.

The timing of is interesting, of course as June is traditionally E3 month. While Sony usually skips the show for its own presentation, E3 itself won’t be on at all this year. However, Summer Games Fest is just a week later on June 9. Is this, therefore, going to be PlayStation’s sole big show this summer, or do they have more up their sleeves for later in the month?

As for the show itself, an update for Horizon: Call of the Mountain is probably a safe bet. But with those aforementioned 20 games, who knows what else to expect? It’d probably be cool to get some information on a price and release date for the PS VR2 headset too, although the PlayStation Blog doesn’t mention anything about hardware.

It’s worth noting that the show might not necessarily be entirely PS VR2-centric, mind. There is the small matter of God of War: Ragnarok, tentatively still on course for this year. Will we get a release date for that? We’ll have to tune in to PlayStation’s YouTube and Twitch channels at 11pm UK time on Tuesday June 2 to find out.
